Description
After intravenous administration of KIDNEY-TEC (99mTc) is mainly concentrated in the renal cortex reaching the maximum concentration, 30 to 40% of the injected dose, between 4 and 6 hours post administration; hepatic uptake does not exceed 3% of the injected dose.
Pharmacokinetic characteristics: the renal uptake process of KIDNEY-TEC (99mTc) has four phases:
- The first corresponds to the distribution of the agent in the vascular compartment.
- The second corresponds to glomerular filtration and tubular reabsorption.
- The third represents the concentration of the compound at the level of the groups.

Diagnostic indications: For the performance of static, planar or tomographic renal diagnostic studies, study of the morphology of the renal cortex, evaluation of individual renal function, localization of ectopic kidneys.
