Description
The NANO-TEC (99mTc) concentrates, after intravenous (i.v.) administration, in the endoplasmic reticulum cells present in liver, spleen and bone marrow; a small portion of the injected dose is excreted as such via the kidneys; the maximum concentration in liver and spleen occurs 30 minutes after administration while in the bone marrow this occurs 6 minutes after administration. When the administration of NANO-TEC (99mTc) is administered subcutaneously between 30 to 40% of the injected dose, whose particles have a diameter of less than 80 μm, are filtered through the lymphatic capillaries and are finally retained in the lymph nodes;
Diagnostic indications: for diagnostic studies of various liver pathologies and sentinel lymph node examination.
